Event Coordinator

Harmony Vineyards is looking for an Event Coordinator to join our management team.  The team is looking for a dynamic entrepreneur and collaborator to help execute the vision of expanding our offerings for public and private events.

Job Responsibilities

  • Planning, organizing, promoting, facilitating and coordinating different types of events, both public and private
  • Handling all social media promoting events
  • Arranging entertainment (mostly music) scheduling and hiring for public and private events
  • Maintaining public and private event calendars
  • Monitoring and coordinating the timeline of an event
  • Preparing event reports
  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of the catering personnel as well as subcontractors
  • Providing guidance and information pertaining to the event to the clients
  • Preparing the event quotations and budgets
  • Ensuring that all contractual obligations are met
  • Ensuring that quality client/customer standards are upheld at all times
  • Ensuring the event venue is ready on time
  • Preparation of event contracts
  • Scheduling events and coordinating appointments
  • Creating and revising plans and layouts for different events
  • Liaising with the client to ensure that their needs are effectively met
  • Ensuring the event location fulfils all building, health and safety requirements
  • Qualifications

For the event coordinator to be able to do their job effectively, certain skills and experience are required. The following are some of the important event coordinator job skills and specifications:

  • Minimum 2 years prior event coordination experience
  • Should be passionate about event management
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Works well under pressure

Tasting Room Sales Associates

We are looking for exceptional individuals to be part of a strong sales and hospitality team providing excellent customer service and brand communication for our customers.  Sales Associates report to our Tasting Room Manager and are compensated at an hourly rate.

We are seeking part-time seasonal and permanent sales persons to work in our tasting room to sell wine, educate the public about our products (both wine and non-wine), and actively grow our consumer following and wine club membership. Must be passionate about wine. Standard work hours are 2 to 4 days per week with Thursday-Sunday availability. Mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Essential Duties

  • Greets all visitors to the Tasting Room, pours wines for tasting, discusses wine and responds to customer questions as appropriate
  • Ensures that every visitor enjoys their wine tasting experience and leaves with a very strong impression of our wines
  • Is knowledgeable about wines, accurately describes wines, winemaking techniques, winery history, appellations, and unique aspects of wines
  • Effectively promotes and sells wine and wine club memberships to customers
  • Handles routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash register, accounting of daily sales, and processing returns and discounts
  • Takes the initiative for self-development in wines knowledge, our brands, general hospitality and for acquiring effective sales techniques
  • Participates in company-sponsored wine educational and development opportunities
  • Has passion for knowledge of fine wine and willingness to learn more
  • Participates and assists with special hospitality events that occur at the winery
  • Washes and polishes glassware for tasting room
  • Assists with display and pricing of retail items and wines as needed
  • Represents winery at outside functions as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Prior Retail and/or Hospitality Experience Required

Seasonal Parking Valets

We are seeking responsible and personable individuals to manage the parking logistics of our vineyard.  Must think quickly and have the safety of our visitors in mind at all imes. Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently.  Must drive stick and have a valid clean driver’s license.  Hourly compensation.
